Terranova International Public Safety Canada Incorporated (TIPS Canada Medical) is pleased to announce that we have become an Official Corporate Member of Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS.CA) , under Chairman Bashir Fancy.

Who is the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS)?

Founded 1958, CIPS, a non-profit organization representing thousands of IT Professionals across the country, has helped strengthen the Canadian IT industry by establishing standards and sharing best practices for the benefit of individual IT professionals and the sector as a whole.

Headquartered in Mississauga Ontario, CIPS is the premiere professional association for IT practitioners in Canada offering:

  • Networking opportunities
  • Certification of IT professionals (I.S.P. and ITCP designations)
  • Accreditation of IT university and college programs
  • A niche IT Job Board
  • voice to government on issues that affect the profession and industry

CIPS is a dynamic organization focused on IT excellence through its work on public policy, setting standards within the profession and providing IT support to its community.

A few of the CIPS national programs include:

  • Certification of IT professionals (Information Systems Professional (I.S.P.) and Information Technology Certified Professional (ITCP) designations); and
  • Accreditation of computer science, software engineering, and MIS programs in Canadian colleges and universities.

CIPS also offers other benefits and services to its members ranging from a Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct to educational conferences (e.g. INFORMATICS) and networking opportunities.
